Today I’m going to show you another model of the 2013 winter collection, Cine Melissa. His name is Billy Creeper and it has a promisse to be the new sensation of the season, substituting sneakers.
The creepers were created in 1945, for the use of military officers, that needed resistance and firmness. Originally called Brothel-Creepers, the shoes kept beeing used with the end of the war, but with a more stylish look. The underground scene in the 50’s was marked by two groups, that were rivals within each other: The Mods and the Teddy Boys. The second group used these shoes as a trademark. With time, more cultural groups started using them, like goths, punks and skinheads. In 2004, the Creeper was reborn in runways, as a female shoe, by the hands of Dior. Right after that it was used by Prada, and since then it’s getting attention of stylists and fashionists all around the world.
Keeping up with news and tendencies, Melissa launches it’s collection with a tribute to the 7th art with this model full of attitude in the colors pink, blue, white and black.
My Impressions
The model is realy comfy. Usually i don’t wear plataform shoes, but this one convinced me to give it a shot. It’s really steady, although it isn’t a heavy shoe. The model form is correct, i wear 7,5, and the size was perfectly made. It’s a very versatile model, and you can do infinite combinations. I made a few looks to show you, as you can see below:
And you know what’s the best part? It’s already for sale in a variety of numbers and colors. You can see by the pictures that my favorite was the pink one right? So go get yours!!!
